Simz is from across the pond, British but with Nigerian roots. Nigerian rappers usually bring the heat, so I'm expecting some dope tracks. Let's dive in...
1. Mood Swings
Yo, this joint starts off mad hard. It’s got this electro-rock vibe, kinda different but aight. First verse drops, she’s talkin' 'bout runnin' the game like always. Flow's smooth, hook's decent, but nothin' to write home about. Doubt I'll be bumpin' this one again.

Her accent's fresh, beat's all right too. But the lyrics? Kinda basic, yo.

Beat’s fire, got that Nigerian groove with traditional drums. Sample might be from “Canada (Remix)” with Olamide, and if so, dope twist. But Simz’s verse? Ain't sayin' much to me. Whole song’s:

Smooth beat, diggin' it. Hook starts strong, but those vocal effects? Nah.

Beat’s lit. Lyrics solid. She picked up the tempo, now she sounds legit. But it's only a minute long? Man, this track should’ve been longer. Best flow so far.

She’s singin’ now, and it’s pretty sweet. Not a hiphop jam, sounds like a mix of Melanie Martinez or Taylor Swift. Too poppy for this album, but she can sing better than rap. Can vibe to this when I ain't in a hip-hop mood.

This album? It’s mid, straight average. Folks who don't dig “pots and pans” or boom-bap might like it, plus alt-rock and electronic fans. Album cover's dope, Little Simz as a robot – kinda fits. Feels like robot-made music – not bad, but not quite there. Generic rap, except for Power, which bangs. But overall? Mid and soft. Like Childish Gambino with a soft touch.
My take – Little Simz should drop rap, and hit the pop charts with tracks like “Far Away.” That’s her best work here, she’s got the vocals, and non-hiphop heads would dig it. “Far Away” is a crowd-pleaser, even your granny might vibe with it.
