REVIEW - Yeat: 2093

YEAT - 2093

Aight, yo, we 'bout to break down this young cat Yeat's new joint, "2093". Let’s see if the homie can deliver. It’s a big-ass project too, clockin’ in at 24 tracks, so buckle up.

Psycho CEO

We startin' off cool, the beat got some vibe, but damn, the raps hit like a bootleg Childish Gambino. Ain't the best way to kick things off. The rhymes basic, effects sound cheap. My man’s tryin’, but he’s gettin’ bodied by his own beats.

Beats - 6/10

Power Trip

Beat starts light, got layers on layers, but the hook ain't it, son. This track feelin' like some electro-pop nonsense, overcooked as hell. Bass hits later but ain't savin' it. Another damn beat switch? It’s too much. This track’s a headache.

Beats - 4/10

Lyrics - 3/10

7/20

Breathe

Beat got me noddin’, and finally, he goes in without all the extra shit. Rhymes still basic, but it’s straight. Not overproduced like the last joints.

Beats - 7/10

More

Yeat’s still batting 1000 on them intros, but the real rap and beats? Meh. At least this one ain’t drowned in effects. He’s still on that “I’m an asshole” vibe, but it’s solid.

Beats - 6/10

Bought the Earth

Dope intro, thought we was about to get somethin’ raw, then this dude starts singin’ about his drug habit and how selfish he is… again. Feelin’ like a one-trick pony, bro. It’s aight, but the pity party’s gettin’ old.

Beats - 6/10

Lyrics - 5/10

11/20

Nothing Change

Yo, the beat is fire, but these lyrics? Weak, fam. And who the hell is moanin' in the middle? Yeat tryin’ to go hard but fallin’ short with them kindergarten-level rhymes. Boring as hell halfway through.

Beats - 7/10

Lyrics - 3/10

10/20

As We Speak ft. Drake

Opera samples on the intro? Okay, points for that, that ish is unique. I like this. Rap’s decent, but he stretchin' words like some Gumby shit, sounds off. Beat switch was solid, but he singin' too much. Drake comes through with his usual "I took your girl" flex, but it don’t even vibe with Yeat’s verse. Outro’s cool though, Yeat steps up.

Beats - 8/10

Lyrics - 6/10

14/20

U Should Know

This one’s cool, but damn, every beat sound like it’s tryna be the same song. Lyrics make no damn sense sometimes. A few bars hit, but mostly, it’s just whatever.

Beats - 7/10

Lyrics - 4/10

11/20

Lyfestyle ft. Lil Wayne

Starts off hard, then slides back into that same ol’ Yeat vibe. Wayne comes in with his corny lines, and that “kill a dude like I’m killin’ time” bar? Trash, bruh. Yeat just complainin’ about Yeat again.

Beats - 6/10

Lyrics - 4/10

10/20 - Wayne and Yeat ain't a good mix.

ILUV

This chorus is mad repetitive, and the beat? Overproduced, like the first tracks. Yeat mumblin’ over it, nothin’ special here. This track’s a flop.

Beats - 5/10

Lyrics - 4/10

9/20

Tell Me

Another track, same damn sound. Yeat rhymes “better” three times in a row—come on, man, be more creative. Lazy wack bars.

Beats - 5/10

Lyrics - 3/10

8/20

Shade

Promising start, but then he’s draggin’ out every word like he got nothin’ else to say. Production’s too bubbly, and that laser sound? Annoying as hell. Son ends with some straight-up gibberish. Nah.

Beats - 4/10

Lyrics - 3/10

7/20

Never Quit

Good beat, sounds like everything else but with extra drums. It’s okay, nothin’ special.

Beats - 7/10

Lyrics - 4/10

11/20

Keep Pushin'

Thought this was an instrumental, then vocals kick in, but they’re buried under crackles and snaps. Overproduced again. Waste of time.

Beats - 3/10

Lyrics - 2/10

5/10

Riot and Set It Off

Yo, the title had me hyped. Beat comes in strong, but Yeat’s vocals are lost in the effects again. Starts buildin’ up, got me ready to wild out, then it just… ends. Son, you played me. Maybe you really do be on that "asshole" tip you kept talkin' 'bout.

Beats - 5/10

Lyrics - 0/10

5/20

Team CEO

Same basic lyrics, same electronic beats. It’s okay, but it’s just empty noise. “Is it a blessing or a curse, I did it first”? Solid line though.

Beats - 7/10

Lyrics - 5/10

12/20

2093

Finally, a change-up. Beat’s almost basic, just a drum loop. Then it’s back to the same old. Beat switch is cool, but ain’t enough to save it.

Beats - 8/10

Lyrics - 4/10

12/20

Stand on It ft. Future

Beat jumps right in, Yeat’s braggin’ about trucks or whatever. Future hops on and pretty much buries the already dead as hell track. It’s okay, nothin' crazy.

Beats - 6/10

Lyrics - 4/10

10/20

Familia

This one starts off rough, sounds like dude recorded this while drunk. Same basic stuff again, man, Yeat’s consistent with bein’ mid.

Beats - 5/10

Lyrics - 5/10

10/20

Mr. Inbetweenit

Another weak intro, quiet raps, same old Yeat. This album’s draggin’, man.

Beats - 4/10

Lyrics - 3/10

7/20

Pychocaine

This track’s okay, but I’m tired of these rappers callin’ themselves gods. You ain’t all that son. Bars are decent though, better than the rest.

Beats - 4/10

Lyrics - 6/10

10/20

Run They Mouth

Same tough talk, same beat, same everything. You already know what it is.

Beats - 5/10

Lyrics - 4/10

9/20

If We Being Real

Beat’s aight, but too much static. Yeat tryna switch up his flow but ends up soundin’ like Drake. More of the same, fam.

Beats - 7/10

Lyrics - 4/10

11/20

1093

Finally, we at the end. This one’s slow, Yeat’s gettin’ in his feels about schizophrenia. Vocal effects are too much again. Little bird sounds are cool, but that’s it.

Beats - 3/10

Lyrics - 4/10

7/20

Man, we finally made it through this hella long pilgrimage. This joint is mid, straight up. Feels like it’s made for kids playin’ Fortnite, somethin’ to vibe to while they’re in the lobby. Beats are fire and he's got creative ish now and then, I’ll give him that, but everything else is just a long-ass trip in circles.
